Edwin Laws, CPA

Edwin, appointed as Controller and Treasurer at G.L. Wilson Building Company in June 2021, has 40 years of accounting, auditing, and management experience including 11 years as CFO of NASDAQ-listed community banks headquartered in North Carolina. His experience also includes employment at a predecessor firm for Potts, Steele & White, P.A. and at Southern Bell. He earned a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Math and Business at Wake Forest University. As a CPA and a Certified Internal Auditor, he has experience in financial reporting, investment portfolio management, mergers and acquisitions, risk management, and internal auditing. Edwin has served in Rotary and Kiwanis clubs in North Carolina communities.
