How to Apply for Funding
To apply for a Wilson Foundation grant, agencies should submit a written request
by letter or email. An IRS determination
letter for the agency’s tax-exempt status should be included as well.

before September 30th each year.

The Wilson Foundation is a private charitable foundation chartered in North Carolina. The Foundation has received a determination letter from the Internal Revenue Service for tax exemption under section 501C (3). It does not solicit funding or contributions. 

​

Since 1980, The Wilson Foundation has provided community and humanitarian support to over 100 organizations in eight different service areas.

​

The Wilson Foundation has provided support for the following areas of service: social services, education, health, arts and humanities, and the environment. Most of the Foundation’s grants have been awarded to agencies in the Iredell County area, and preference for funding is given to NC applicants.

​

The Wilson Foundation does not fund proposals that call for multi-year obligations or continuing operating budgets.
